I am a qualified Clinical Reflexologist, level 5 having qualified with Jubilee College, the largest Reflexology college in England. This is the highest qualification in the UK and in Europe.
What does this mean for you?
By choosing a Clinical Reflexologist, you’re opting for a personalised and bespoke treatment. Each client is given a treatment plan specific to their needs and concerns, it is not a case of performing a set routine on each person.
Your reflexology treatment is exactly that, your treatment
Your comfort and well-being are my top priorities.
Reflexology is an incredible practice, stimulating the body’s own healing process and providing deep relaxation to tired bodies. By gently working reflexes on the feet, I can aid blood flow and relaxation, as well as stimulating pressure points that can re-balance hormones and recalibrate the body pre and post birth. Anyone can benefit from reflexology.
How Can Reflexology Help You?
Reflexology can support women at every stage of life. Here are just some of the ways it could help:
What to Expect in a Session
Your reflexology journey begins with a detailed consultation, where together, we discuss your health history and wellness goals. During the consultation Nicky will talk through any conditions that you might have so that your treatment is absolutely tailored to you and to your needs. The treatment is not a set routine that is performed on everyone, each treatment is very specific to you and your needs.
During the treatment, you’ll relax in a comfortable, quiet environment lying on a heated bed with your legs slightly raised in a cosy blanket so that you can fully switch off and just the tension and stress of the day just slip away. During your treatment Nicky will work on the reflexes on your feet where she can feel tension and congestion to help rebalance these areas and often clients will feel the congestion or the tension as Nicky works gently and thoroughly over your feet using a deeply luxurious balm of your choice which will leave your feet feeling soft and nourished. Most clients describe the experience as deeply soothing and leave feeling more balanced and refreshed. Every treatment is tailored to your individual needs, ensuring you get the best possible results.

Reflexology is a gentle hands-on therapy in which gently moves are made over reflexes on feet or hands or face sending messages deep into the body prompting your body to make changes on any level. These changes could be physical, emotional, or psychological in order to trigger positive improvements in your health and well-being.

At your first treatment, an in-depth first consultation to discuss your pain points and your general well-being and how your pain affects you on a day-to-day basis. Please bring with you a list of medications that you are currently taking.
At the start of subsequent treatments a brief consultation will be conducted to see how you are and how you are feeling from your previous treatment.
All treatments are carried out in a private room on a therapy bed, with blankets to help keep you warm and aid relaxation. A rich balm will used on your feet or hands to leave them feeling soothed and nourished.
For foot reflexology please wear loose leggings as the treatment may involved working up to the knee, for hand reflexology please wear a top where I work up to the elbow . It is best to remove all jewellery such as toe rings, anklets, finger rings, bracelets.
The number of treatments varies from person to person, but if you have a long-standing injury you will typically require more treatments than someone whose injuries have recently occurred. Most people will start to experience the positive effects of reflexology immediately after their first treatment.
Typically for long-standing injuries and pain, clients will require 4-5 treatments, one week apart and then have a maintenance treatment every month or so as required to keep on top of their well-being.
It is recommended that you wait a week between treatments as reflexology can initiate a cascade of beneficial changes within your body that can continue to work up to a week after treatment. This means you will continue to heal and feel better throughout that entire time.
It is also advisable to avoid any other hands-on therapies such as massage, chiropractor, physiotherapy so as not to confuse your body with mixed messages.
Water - make sure you drink plenty of water so that you keep yourself hydrated as well as help toxins flush out of system. Sipping water will help your body absorb it much better and help keep you better hydrated.
Walk - try to move around after a reflexology treatment, just gentle walking every half and hour. You could set your phone to remind you.
Listen - It is important to listen to your body, for some people they do find they feel tired and need to rest. This is perfectly normal and just your body adjusting to the rebalance.
